Greetings All,

Okay so I did the occasional thing and sent out to EVERYONE what was
intended for one.

My apologies to you Trey,

Liz and I have joined the Renaissance class taught by David Hatcher and
sponsored by the Reeves. The fact is that even though this is largely a
"couples" class, most of whom have children, they do some things that the
Singles could learn from.

The Young Adult Singles Ministry, such as it is at KUMC, is taking some time
to decide who and what it is. In that process there has been some talk of
creating what is a Professionals" group of folks from their 20's to 40's.
Single, married, divorced, with or without children, dating or not...the
focus could be getting the foundations right and bringing everyone into a
non-threatening environment that doesn't beat over the head with a
bible...but encourages you to consult it for whatever life throws at you.

The Renaissance class also focuses a lot on service, and giving to others.
This is what drives so many ministries I've seen and can make a huge
difference.

So if that sounds like something a small but aggressive group can start, you
should. The trick is to begin pulling as many people in as you can keeping
them with something special that they can't get anywhere else.
